This article came about after i was asked about my views on the fact that this year (2009) is the first time in 22 years ( !! ) that there WON'T be a Rip Curl Pro competition here in Hossegor/Seignosse....every year since we opened the bar, there are 2 major surf comps in the town, the WQS Rip Curl Pro which happens during the last week of August, the the WCT Quik Pro France, which is during the last 2 weeks of September.
